Our Mission

Empowerment through Education
WHO WE ARE

Who We Are

ANSWER is a non-religious, non-partisan organization dedicated to helping the people of Nepal address problems of poverty through education, primarily by providing educational sponsorships for impoverished students, especially low-caste.

EDUCATION, THE PATHWAY OUT OF POVERTY

Since universities, businesses and professional careers require English fluency in Nepal, ANSWER students attend private schools where English is the spoken language.  Class sizes are limited to 15-30 students.

OPPORTUNITY AND EMPOWERMENT

ANSWER’s educational scholarships reward the brightest, but poorest and most marginalized students.  Nearly 650 students ranging from 4th grade through University are supported in cities and villages throughout Nepal.  Due to the disadvantages women face, we sponsor twice as many girls as boys and emphasize women’s empowerment.

LIMITATIONS OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Government schools teach very limited English, are often overcrowded with 40-70 students per classroom, and are poorly equipped.

OUR SCHOOLS

Answer’s presence extends from urban cities to remote rural villages, as they provide educational opportunities for students throughout Nepal. With ongoing growth, their sponsorships enable them to add more students and schools each year.

Student Graduates

Paying It Forward

Once established in a career, we encourage ANSWER university graduates to “Pay It Forward” by sponsoring a student themselves.

ANSWER has graduates from a wide range of career fields including: Law, Engineering, Banking, Information Technology, Non-profit Management, Social Work, Public Health, Nutrition, Veterinary medicine, Pharmacy, Ophthalmology, Midwifery, Health Assistant, Lab Technology, Forestry, Agriculture, Microbiology and more!
