Nepal is a landlocked country. It is surrounded by China from the North and India from remaining directions. Out of ten world’s tallest mountains, eight are in Nepal, including Mount Everest. Mountains dominate northern part of Nepal. In the south, bordering with India, are the low-land plains which are hot all year-round. Despite being a relatively small country; roughly 500 mi long and 125 mi wide; Nepal has five climatic zones and experiences up to five distinct seasons, depending on the topology.
